HIS today unleashed the HIS DisplayPort to Single Link-DVI Eyefinity Adapter. Many consumers have already known the fact that HIS HD 5000 series graphic cards feature the Eyefinity technology. While Eyefinity requires a monitor with a DisplayPort to work, the demand of low-cost DisplayPort to Single Link-DVI Eyefinity Adapter has increased for a long time.

The introduction of this new dongle allows the owners of HIS HD 5000 series to use DisplayPort to a DVI-Enabled HDTV, monitor or projector. Additionally, the dongle enables ATI Eyefinity multiple-display, which supports up to 6 displays.

The availability of the inexpensive DisplayPort to Single Link-DVI Eyefinity Adapter, with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of US $29.99, expands the ATI Eyefinity ecosystem to include the massive number of LCD monitors with DVI connectors and resolutions up to 1920 x1200.

This encompasses the vast majority of monitors sold today, with many models available for well under $200 each. Now, ATI Eyefinity multi-monitor solutions are within reach of virtually everyone, from die-hard gaming enthusiasts to individuals wanting more screen real estate to improve workflow.

Eyefinity

ATI Eyefinity is defined as two or more display outputs operating simultaneously and independently from each other. Support is available for Duplicated (Clone) and Extanded multiple monitor modes, with new support for the capability to group displays into a massive single large surface spanning across multiple displays for use with your desktop workspace, video playback, with support for both windowed and full screen 3D applications.!

Today, ATI Eyefinity technology can support up to 6 displays using a single enabled ATI Radeon™ graphics card with Windows Vista or Windows 7 operating systems - the number of displays may vary by board design and you should confirm exact specifications with the applicable manufacturer before purchase. ATI Eyefinity technology works with games that support non-standard aspect ratios, which is required for panning across multiple displays.!
